DO IT!

Another cliché? There are reasons why cliches become cliches – they might actually be some truth there.

The issue is not to sit around but to start moving towards your destination. In other words ship something. (But you may want to also to read Chris Brogan's thought's first) first)

Years ago, we had been planning a European trip. One day we just decided to book the tickets and go.

Since then we just go!

UN – Labor Day

First Friday – and the news – Really, Really BAD!

NO new jobs created

Three-quarters of the currently unemployed have been out of work for more than six months and fully half have been out of work for more than two years

The unemployment rate for Black teenagers is now 46.5%, up from 39.5%

Food costs are up 4.6%

Gasoline costs are up 33%

Real average earnings fell 1.3%

Pressure is building.

What will be the spark to ignite the conflagration?

“GO” Part III

Feed the fire
Fan the flame
I know you kids can stand the rain
I know the kids are still upsetters
'Cause rock is cool but the struggle is better
Go go go

Amy Ray – Performed by the Indigo Girls

Passion, a characteristic attribute of youth, doesn't have to be restricted by age. Passion should occur at any age – where in the rule book is there an age limit for embracing a passion.

“Colonel” Sanders was in his sixties when Kentucky Fried Chicken became big.

Benjamin Franklin was over 70 years old when he signed the Declaration of Indepence and the US Constitution.

"In every single year from 1996 to 2007, Americans between the ages of 55 and 64 had a higher rate of entrepreneurial activity than those aged 20 to 34."
- Dane Stangler of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation

Passion and the ability to effect change aren't conditional on age.

"GO" Part II

“GO” Part II

Raise your hands
Raise your hands high
Don't take a seat
Don't stand aside
This time don't assume anything
Just go go go

Amy Ray – Performed by the Indigo Girls

Stand up and be counted. In your heart you know what's right – So just GO DO IT.

The old saw about assuming is, assuming can make an ASS (out of) U (and) ME.

If you ask the question or raise the issue, you might be seeking the answer that everyone else wanted, but ASSUMED everyone else knew.

If you raise the issue, you might be voicing the concerns of everyone else, they just ASSUMED someone was taking care of the issue. OWN IT – Volunteer, Raise Your Hand – OWN IT!

JUST GO! GO! GO!
